Virtium Extends High-Endurance Line of Solid State Drives

New Industrial-Grade StorFly SSDs Provide Cost-Effectiveness, 7X Reliability Improvement over Standard MLC!

Virtium announced a significant extension of its high-endurance industrial SSD line with the debut of StorFly® XE Class SSDs.

This new XE Class of drives bridges the gap between Virtium’s current StorFly CE Class SSDs with MLC flash which are ideally suited for boot-drive and/or lower workload environments, and the StorFly PE Class drives with SLC flash, designed for the most demanding workloads and highest reliability. So the customer has the choice between MLC, iMLC and SLC flash products.

StorFly XE Class SSDs leverage Virtium’s new industrial–grade multi-level cell (iMLC) technology to strike a unique balance between high reliability and cost efficiency. XE Class drives provide up to seven times greater read/write endurance than the StorFly CE Class and support industrial temperature (-40°C to 85°C) operation -- all at only a marginal price premium over CE Class SSDs with MLC.

Like all StorFly industrial SSDs, the XE Class features vtGuard™ for added power-fail protection against data loss and vtSecure™ security features.
Additionally, the drives are supported by vtView® software for precision performance and life monitoring, and come with Virtium’s five-year warranty.
